Robert Michael mines for Smoky Quartz crystals in several areas around Pikes Peak and Lake George, CO. The crystal used for this piece was found in the Tarryall Mountains, which are just North of Lake George. Robert faceted it into this 18x13mm rectangle-shaped (Emerald cut) gemstone weighing 14 carats. The classic Root Beer color is gorgeous. He then set the gem in a simple Sterling Silver Pendant.
A very short silver-colored chain will be included in the gift box with this item, but please be aware that this chain is for display purposes only. It is used solely to hold the pendant upright in the box. It is made of inexpensive basic metal, NOT Gold or Silver.
