Product Description
The Rose Quartz used for these pieces were mined by Robert Michael at the abandoned Clara May Mine near Buena Vista, Colorado. The vast majority of the Rose Quartz in this location is very opaque / cloudy, and not suitable for gem cutting. However, Robert realized there were small, clear portions in some of the crystals that were gem quality. At his shop, he cut away the cloudy portion of one crystal which revealed a very clear piece of Rose Quartz. Robert then cut that remaining crystal into three pieces and faceted three Asscher-cut gems. The larger gem is 9x9mm and weighs 2.85 carats. The two smaller gems are 7x7mm and weigh close to 2 carats each. He set the gems in a Sterling Silver Pendant and matching Earrings.
A One-of-a-Kind set.
