A few years back, Robert Michael visited the Four Peaks Mine near Phoenix, Arizona by helicopter, and once there, he was allowed to extract beautiful Amethyst crystals from the interior walls of the mine.  Robert chose one of those crystals and cut away the surrounding host rock until he had a nice piece of clear Amethyst.  He cut that piece in half and then faceted the two crystals into these matching 8mm round gemstones weighing 1.7 carat each.  He then set the gems in 14kt White Gold Post Earrings.

Amethyst is the February Birthstone.
