Robert Michael acquired a large quantity of Amethyst crystals from the Humming Bird Mine (original spelling) located near Grand Junction, CO.  Robert chose one of the darker crystals and faceted it into this 11x9mm oval gem weighing 4 carats.  He then set the gem in a 14kt Yellow Gold Pendant.
 
Amethyst is the February Birthstone.
