Robert acquired a large quantity of Amethyst crystals from a private mining operation located near Grand Junction, Colorado. He's faceted many of these over time including this 9x7mm oval gemstones weighing 2.5 carts.  We set it in this Size 7 Sterling Silver Ring.  
 
This Amethyst contains some very unique color-zoning causing a gradual change from pale to dark purple within each individual crystal. As such, each of these gems are different and very beautiful.
 
Amethyst is the February Birthstone.
