Years ago, Robert mined Amethyst crystals near the Amethyst Queen Mine located near Grand Junction, CO. He cut one of those crystals into a 10x8mm oval Cabochon gemstone and set it in a Size 7 Sterling Silver ring along with two 2mm White Topaz accent gems.
This Amethyst is different in that it tends to be lighter in color than the Arizona, Brazil or Uruguay Amethyst, and therefore easily identifiable. There is also slight color-zoning in this material causing a gradual change from almost clear white to dark purple, and everything in between within each individual crystal. As such, each of these gems are quite beautiful and very unique.
Amethyst is the February Birthstone.
