Robert Michael mines for Smoky Quartz in several locations in the Colorado Rockies.  The medium-shade crystal for this piece came from Crystal Peak near Lake George. Robert faceted it into an 8mm round gem weighing 2 carats.  He then set the gem in this Sterling Silver Pendant.
