Robert acquired several Pyrope Garnet crystals from a source in Mozambique and faceted one of them into this 7x5mm oval Cabochon-style gemstone.  These gems are curved smooth on the top and flat on the bottom which allows light to pass through the gem and highlight the color.  We set this gem in a Size 6 1/2  Sterling Silver Ring.  In addition, we added two 2mm round White Topaz accent gems.  A very attractive piece.
