The Rhodochrosite crystal for this piece was mined in the Sweet Home Mine near Alma, Colorado. Robert cut the crystal into this 12x9mm oval gemstone weighing a whopping 5.3 carats. He set the gem, along with a 3mm round VS F accent Diamond, into this 14kt Yellow Gold Pendant. Rhodochrosite is found in a few locations around the world. However, this color and slightly opaque clarity of Rhodochrosite can only be found at the Sweet Home Mine. This is truly a stunning piece and worthy of a Connoisseurs status.
Rhodochrosite is a softer material and care should be taken when wearing and handling this piece, similar to that of Opal. This piece is not intended for daily wear.
