The Watermelon Tourmaline crystal used in this piece was mined in the São José da Safira 
regions of Minas Gerais of Brazil.  The pencil-like crystals tend to have a significant number of fractures that cause the crystal to break in thin slices.  We used one of those 9x9mm trillion-shaped slices and set it in its natural AS IS state, in this Sterling Silver Pendant.
