Historically, Bloodstone was typically carved with a family’s Coat of Arms. These intaglios could then be placed in signet rings and used with melted wax to seal a document.  Today, most Bloodstone is cut into Cabochons, like this 40x30mm oval. We set it in a14kt Yellow Gold-Filled Cinch-style Pendant.
