Robert acquired a large quantity of these Amethyst crystals from the Humming Bird Mine.  This Amethyst is different in that it tends to be lighter in color than the Arizona, Brazil or Uruguay Amethyst, and therefore easily identifiable.
 
There is also some very unique color-zoning in this material causing a gradual change from almost clear White Quartz to a blackish purple and everything in between within each individual crystal. As such, each of these gems are different and very beautiful.
 
We've faceted many of these crystals over time including this 12x9mm rectangular shaped gemstone weighing 4 carats.  Robert set this beautiful gem in a Sterling Silver Pendant.
