Robert mines for Smoky Quartz crystals in many locations.  The crystal for this piece was mined a few miles North of Lake George, Colorado in the Tarryall Mountains.  Robert faceted it into this 15mm round gemstone weighing 11 carats. The coloring is a prized Colorado root beer brown.  Completely different than all of those gray and black tones from other parts of the world.  Robert then set this spectacular gem in this Sterling Silver Pendant.
