Robert Michael mines for Smoky Quartz crystals near Lake George, CO.  He selected one of those crystals and cut it into several pieces.  He then faceted one piece into this 14x10mm rectangular-shape gemstone weighing 7 carats.  The root beer color is typical for Colorado.  The gem is set in a Sterling Silver Pendant.
