A few years back, Robert visited the Four Peaks Mine near Phoenix, Arizona by helicopter, and once there, he was allowed to extract beautiful Amethyst crystals from the interior walls of the mine.  Robert chose one of those crystals and cut away the surrounding host rock until he had a nice piece of clear Amethyst. He then faceted this 11x9mm oval gem weighing 4 carats and set it in a 14kt Yellow Gold Pendant.
