Ocean Jasper is a type of Chalcedony, which is a microcrystalline variety of quartz. This gives Ocean Jasper its hardness and durability. The stone often displays concentric rings or orbicular patterns, giving it a striking and often mesmerizing appearance.  This piece was mined along the northwest coast of Madagascar.  Robert cut this 40x30mm Cabochon and set it in a 14kt Yellow Gold plated cinch Pendant.
