We acquired several large pieces of Lapis Lazuli that were mined in Afghanistan. This material contains a higher amount of Pyrite, the gold-colored mineral, than either Colorado or Chilian material.  We cut one piece into this 26x21mm oval Cabochon and set it in a Sterling Silver Pendant.
