Much of the Mint Green Quartz available on the market today comes from Brazil.  It's actually Amethyst that has been heated to arrive at the gorgeous mint color.  We purchased quite a few of these crystals and faceted one of them into this large 19x15mm oval gemstone weighing close to 20 carats.  It's set in a 14kt White Gold Pendant.
 
Just as an aside, true mint green quarts is called Prasiolite, and most of these natural crystals come from one small mine in the northern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.  The color is caused by naturally occurring radiation over millions of years.
