Pink Sapphires are a variety of corundum, which is the same mineral that forms Rubies. They are prized for their delicate pink hues, ranging from light to vivid shades. The pink color in Sapphires is caused by trace elements of chromium, iron, or titanium within the crystal structure.   They can be found in numerous parts of the world, including Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Myanmar (Burma), Tanzania, and Australia. Each location may produce stones with slightly different characteristics in terms of color and clarity.  These Sapphires originated from Sri Lanka, and we set them in Sterling Silver Post Earrings.

Sapphire is the September Birthstone.
